Venkat Kodumudi has over 25 years of IT experience as both a government leader and a consultant. During his US federal government tenure, he served first as a Branch Chief overseeing multiple application portfolios, then Deputy Director of Operations and Engineering Division within the Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration. Within the private sector, he has served as a consultant and lead architect for top technology product and consulting firms as well as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for a technology startup.
In his current role as Director of Innovation Programs for CGI’s Federal Strategic Business Unit, Mr. Kodumudi helps define technology direction and go-to-market strategy while architecting technology solutions to address government’s biggest challenges. With deep yet broad technical expertise, he focuses on how emerging technologies and methodologies such as Artificial Intelligence, blockchain, robotic process automation (RPA), DevSecOps, and IT service management can support the government in achieving mission objectives. He led one of the sections for the ACT-IAC Blockchain Playbook. He also co-chairs CGI Blockchain Roundtable.
Mr. Kodumudi holds bachelors and masters degrees in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
